| Played BV in the mid-_90s and found it a wonderful venue. It was brought to my attention by a very good friend. I remember the course to be in immaculate shape with some greens larger than a ballroom. Sorry to hear of its untimely demise. Believe they had a pro croquet field and their own airport. The clubhouse was terrific. |

| Courses are both closed as it was mentioned before due to a greedy old tirant. It did not have to end this way but did. FYI the Kankakee Elks GC was the best and is the best in Kankakee County. If you don_t know look them up. It is asthetic and challenging. Go aread try to hole out on the super elevated par 3! I rate it 3rd in Illinois behind Medina (when it was open to the public) and Cog Hill and when I say Cog I mean all of their courses as for places I have made a drive. |

| Bon Vivant had the potential for being one of the best in the state. The owner closed it at the end of _08 as an _F-you_ to the Village of Bourbonnais because of a beef over drainage. The guy doesn_t care that he screwed hundreds of people out of a decent and convenient place to play. |
