Conway Farms Golf Course Addtional Information & History

The 18-hole Conway Farms course at the Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Illinois was rated 9th in the state of Illinois by Golf Digest in 2006. Conway Farms has previously been ranked among the Top 100 modern courses by Golfweek. Conway Farms’ roots go back to the 1956 purchase of a farm along old Conway Road, for which the course was named. The club has hosted numerous amateur championships, and played host to the Big Ten Championships in 2006. Inspired by the Old Course at St. Andrews and Shinnecock Hills in the Hamptons, Conway Farms Golf Club was designed by Thomas Fazio, ASGCA/Andy Banfield. The course opened in 1991. Located on the prestigious North Shore, Conway Farms features wonderful views and gently rolling terrain. Conway Farms Golf Course offers 6,733 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 73.5 and it has a slope rating of 138 on Bent grass.
