A good course for beginners and city folk. The rough is very low and fairways play the roll well. It_s one of the cheaper courses on this side of the city. |

Course Condition: Fair Course Design: Very plain, lots of short strait par 4_s Staff: Good Value: Good value at 20 w/cart (internet coupon) Note: Tee boxes are mats on concrete, course drains poorly after rain, weekday rounds are fast ~2 hours |

Edgebrook was a delight to play. The staff was first rate, especially the assistant manager Bart. The course, while not terribly challenging, was in the best shape I _ve ever seen. The 13th hole was a bit rough, but that was to be expected with the recent rain. I would absoulutely recommend Edgebrook to any golfer who is new to the game. I would also say that talented golfers would love to get an ego trip, like you get with your scores at this course. To the staff at Edgebrook...BRAVO!!! |

Bring a helmet. The bad thing about a course for beginners... nothin_ but beginners there. The only thing worse than having chewed up mats for tee boxes is having clowns hit golf balls at you all day. |

I played this course last weekend and it was the worst course I've ever played. The tee boxes is a cement slab with a driving range mat for you to hit off of. The fairways are all damaged with patches of grass. The greens are hard and you could not even put a club mark let alone a ball mark. All in all the worst course ever. |

Played Aug. 2002. Beginners course. Open fairways, although some are rock hard. 4 or 5 challenging holes. Very tight playing area. You have to weave in and out of everyone. A LOT of Fores! You have to watch your shots, because a lot of people will either play or just pick up your ball. Tee off of mats for every hole, which isn't so nice. I'm a beginner, so I'll definitely play there again because it's cheap and pretty easy, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who's got a good game. |

Horrible shape right now the fairways are hacked up and some holes flood half the season |

Great course for beginners or people just returning to the game. Greens are easy, fairways are wide, and you can always find your ball (or three others) in the woods. |

Played here for the Illinois State Junior Amatuer Championship. Greens were incredible fast and horrible pin placements made them worse. Back 9 is nothing like the front which confuses players. |

Easy course. Trashy tees, turf on a golf course? |

This course is good for beginners (such as myself). It's also a course for a golfer to build confidence because it is fairly easy to play. Few complaints are the lack of grass on fairways and the 13th hole is ridiculous. Half of the hole is just durt and ditches which makes any shot you hit on the 13th ten times harder. |

It's a good course for beginners. Usually easy to get on so you don't have to wait real long to get a round on. Also is a good course for golfers to build confidence on their shots. Down side to the course is a lack of grass on fairways. Also, the 13th hole is ridiculous. It has more dirt and small little ditches than it has grass. |
