Elgin Country Club Addtional Information & History

The golf course at the Elgin Country Club opened as a 9-hole course in 1901 and was designed by Tom Bendelow. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 1929 and the clubhouse was built on the highest point in Kane County. A challenging course for players of all skill levels, Elgin golf course is situated in the middle of a concentric row of hills created by a receding glacier. Elgin offers 6,347 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.9 and it has a slope rating of 128 on Bent grass.  Elgin Country Club amenities also include a dining room and showers.
