The 18-hole public golf course at the Fox Lake Country Club, Inc. facility in Fox Lake, Illinois offers 6,347 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Fox Lake is quite hilly and the greens are fast. The fairways are tree lined, and water hazards and sand bunkers come into play throughout the course. The course rating is 71.7 and it has a slope rating of 128 on Blue grass.  Designed by Richard P. Nugent, ASGCA, the Fox Lake golf course opened in 1926. Dick Nugent and Ken Killian redesigned this course in 1973.
