High Point Golf Course Addtional Information & History
High Point Estates and Golf Club is a residential golf course community on 135 acres in Essex, Illinois. Accompany of 9-hole country club caliber golf course. The aim was to provide an optimum residential lot sitting, while creating a golf course that would both complement the adjoining properties, as well as stand alone as a fair and challenging test of golf. The course features a solid arrangement of golf holes totaling a par of 36. The existing ponds are brought into play on several holes in addition to serving as a natural buffer between the residential properties and the adjacent golf course. The par 5 final hole will be especially challenging by requiring the golfer to avoid water on both the second and approach shot to the green. Bunkers and new wetlands will also add challenges and an aesthetic element throughout the series of golf holes.
