Great course, ruined by indifferent management. Great gril (when it is staffed), great greens. Staff seemed dedicated, but severly hampered by management. This could be a GREAT golfing experience with a little effort. |

Nice course overall. Tight fairways, smooth rolling greens. Staff aren_t exactly friendly but it_s a nice track in good shape for a decent price. Will play again. |

Golfed here in May, 2009. Aside from the well-documented rudeness of the staff, the course was in terrible shape. Might have been due to all the rain we had, but I_ve played other courses during that same time that were much better kept. Stay away, there are too many other decent options in the Chicago burbs. |

Run by Grumpy old men. Early mornings the marshals rush you through the course, by afternoon they are taking their naps and the play if very slow. |

I really enjoyed the course. I had golfer from out of town and he thought the greens were true and the course fair. A good test for a good golfer. |

Great greens is their claim and it's true. Hilldale greens are great - smooth and fast running true. HOWEVER, they are packing way too many people in and the round took over 5 HOURS. NOT ACCEPTABLE!! |

Great Golf Course Horrible Management 5:18 round of golf on a saturday is "Acceptable" according to their rangers and management. Rangers by the way are a misnomer they are little more than Chicago Politician, Shaking Hands and Grinning. Im sure if there was a baby in the vicinity there'd be some smoothen going on. The only way courses are going to learn there lesson is for the masses to revolt and hit them where their decisions are made in the pocket book/ledgersheet. On the bright side it was easy to get a time there they are always willing to squeese another group in. |

Greens were in great shape. Tight fairways with typical hidden green from tee. Sand was mediocre. Some hackers on the course, so it could be a slow one. |

A Beutiful Robert Trent Jones Sr course. Well maintained great greens, ruined by indifferent management too interested in packing every player and then some more into too difficult a course. And the booze, as some one else noted. Many over served golfers on a saturday which dosn't improve the experience for anyone except the boozee. THe Marshal 5 1/2 hour rounds are completely acceptable. Never again |

Greens are always nice. (Why not mention airation, when reserving) Mediocre practice facilities. Nice grill. Pete Dye Senior design. |

Hilldale is a very nice course if a little expensive at 56 dollars. The round was ruined by a drunken 6 ball playing very noisily on several holes beside the bar & grill. |

This was a nice course, well maintained and a freindly staff, nice little grill, overall a good time. |

Hilldale's staff was the only staff of 10 golf courses I called that actually seemed to care for my business. Hilldale is in a housing complex so you will not feel particularly isolated. Fairways are very tight but fair. I am a 5 handicap and feel that these greens were some of the best I have ever played. Greens were lightning fast, incredibly smooth, and moist. Outstanding experience, and worth the money. |
