For the price, you get what you pay for. Cheap round of golf on a course that has a pretty good layout. Conditions are questionable, however. The people that play here are questionable, as well. A good hacker course in summary. One thing of note is to look out for your golf ball. Players on this course tend to have a bad habit of picking up other people_s golf balls, even if you hit yours in the middle of your own fairway. Last time I was at this course I mentioned to my friend (was his first time here) that people have a bad habit of picking up other peoples golf balls. Coincidentally, on the next hole, I hit my ball into the left rough, and no more than 3 minutes later a guy a couple holes ahead on the hole running parallel to ours drove right over to my ball and picked it up. Since I_ve played here before and was expecting this to happen, we made a bee line right to there cart, where the guy appologized and stated, \_I_m hitting a Nike as well, I thought that was mine\_. Overall, this course is decent for the price, but expect a slow round. Also, the 9th and 18th holes are a joke as the greens are located approximately 30 feet from the club house, with a chain link fence protected any innocent bystanders from errant shots that go over the green. In conclusion, if you want to play a hacker round, this is a good course. If you are looking for a good course, go elsewhere. |

Below average as a result of the typical clientel. Meaning, most lacked golf etiquette. Ton's of unfixed ball mark's on greens, people hitting to green as your just on the edge going off (almost got hit 3 times). People hitting into your group in the fairway from tee. (guy said to me, "I said fore") Course wise, not bad. Definately some challengers out there. Average condition. |

The "Champ" has undergone a visual transformation from 03 to 04. Kudos to the Billy Casper Managment Group. The greens are well maintained and now rival the best around the city. Flooding was a problem in early Spring but should translate into lush fairways by late Spring and early Summer. The water hazards have been cleaned and are sparkling. This course is one of the best kept secrets in Chicago. A true long ball course at a bargin price. Very challenging....Please, don't play here...I want it all to myself now that they've fixed it up. |

This course has a great lay-out, but poorly maintained. bunkers have no sand and greens are like a shag carpet. Employees are rude and some golfers think that it is their private course. Get ready for a 6 hour round. |

Beautiful course design and layout, but greens are slow and poorly managed, as are also the sand traps. I played it a few times and the fairways were not cut, more like second cut rough |

"The Champ" is a great course for the value. It is currently undergoing renovations on the traps and may make this course a shorter, less challenging than George Dunn. |

make sure you keep shots some what near the fair way...because if you get caught in there trees your in trouble... |
