LaGrange Country Club Addtional Information & History

The 18-hole La Grange golf course at the La Grange Country Club in La Grange, Illinois features four sets of tees, assuring a challenging round of golf to players of all skill levels. La Grange Country Club was founded as a 9-hole golf club in 1899, just five years after the USGA was founded.  The Club moved to its present location and expanded to 18 holes in 1913.  In 1974 and 1981, La Grange hosted the USGA Women's U.S. Open.  In 2001, the Club underwent a major course renovation to create a challenging but consistent golf venture. La Grange golf course offers 6,685 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 72.7 and it has a slope rating of 134 on grass.  Designed by Bendelow/Mungeam ASGCA, the La Grange golf course opened in 1899.
