Lawsonia - Woodlands Course Addtional Information & History

The Woodlands Course offers an 18-hole with a stunning contrast to its predecessor, the Links Course. Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore built the first nine in 1983 and completed the second nine in 1991. The fairways are densely tree-lined and guarded by a series of about 80 traps, making it much tighter. Considered a modern target course, it is comprised of radical elevation, and a bent grass greens that are moderately fast and well bunkered. A 169 yard and a par 3 with a features of radical 65-foot drop from tee to green. The Hole #2 is a 341 yard and par 4 center pieced with a 90+ year old stone quarry that separates the fairways from a green and donned with the Judson Tower (historical landmark).
