Makray Memorial Golf Club Addtional Information & History

Makray Memorial Golf Club is formerly known as Thunderbird Country Club since 1962. The Course was closed in June 2002 for a complete renovation and it was revamped course opened in spring 2004 with a magnificent new clubhouse followed with its completion one year later. Upon re-opening, the course was renamed in honor to Paul Makray, the owner. Makray Golf Club has a 24,000 square foot clubhouse with a charm of an old world manor and spectacular views of the golf course. Makray Memorial Golf Club is premier 18-hole championship caliber courses in Illinois. A 7,000 yards with four sets of tees. Makray memorial Golf Club is a great destination for family and friends because of the area that will give you a challenging test skills. The area has a lots of waters, strategic bunkers, bent grass tees, fairways and greens, blue grass roughs and spectacular views.
