Had not played there since redesign. After eating on on previous date in the clubhouse we were eager to sample the course. Being on the pricey side we expected the best. We (4) were sadly disappointed. You need a yardage book to even know where to hit on the front side (numerous blind shots). Course condition was well below acceptable: tees and fairways had numerous unrepaired divots. There is no secondard rough on the fairways or frog hair on the greens. Short grass to rough. The course redesign is contrived. If you are not on a green but next to it you can barely see the flag. The pins were cut like a \_greenskeepers revenge\_, some of them being only several feet from the edge - and the rough. Excessive speed and contouring on the greens, they too were poorly maintained. #12 should have had part of the green marked as ground under repair. The ranger hawked us on numerous holes but never said a word one way or the other. We completed our round in 4 hours flat. We could never figure out what he was looking for. The only bright side were the bunkers, which have the best sand I have ever played from - excellent. All four of our players left feeling like we had been taken advantage of - needless to say it is unlikely that we will return. To us golf is much more than an elegant clubhouse and a spiffy marketing brocure - too bad. |

What a course, I golfed there with 11 other guys and they really took care of us. The course itself is pretty true but their greens are very tough. The only negative to this course is that if you never played the course, you don_t know where to hit off the tee. There are no pictures on the scorecard or on the tee itself. Now that I played the course, I know where to hit and would score much better. Will definitely go back. |
