I remember playing it as a kid in the 1960_s. We would get to the course early in morning and have to wait for over an hour to tee off. Great times. Great memories. |

I grew up playing Marquette Park. I remember the $1.50 rate for seniors and juniors and the infamous mats on asphalt which were good for breaking a club or two per season.Kemper did a nice job initially planting trees, removing the asphalt and mats and bringing in real sand in the bunkers as well as impressive landscaping. In mid June for the Cook County Amateur golf tourney it was always in good shape but then would go to hell by the time my high school team played it in the fall using it as its home course. On three different occasions I personally lasered the course and moved the yardage plates to the proper yardage. The management or grounds crew never moved the posts despite several empty promises. It was embarrassing to have the 2nd hole posts be marked 17yds too short and the 6th hole be 12 yds too short(ever hit your ball on Kedzie? You only had 138 to center not 150!).I can proudly say that for the first time in its history the new 150 yds markers are accurate!!!! Steve the new manager is enthusiastic and seems committed and the new greenskeeper Valerie is competent and takes pride in her work and is cute to boot! I am starting a 9 hole golf league on Tuesdays at 3:30.Who wants to join me? Come restore the pride and play at Marquette Park golf as it reaches new historical heights. Thanks to Steve Casarez the longtime former manager for all of his help to my St. Rita golf teams! |

When geese are swimming in the sand trap you know there to much water in them...pump them out and add sand. |

This course is the best that i_ve seen on the south side. The elevated tees are great and the fairways are well maintained. the greens are good. It is well worth the price. |

Nice course, the goose poop is a pain to putt around on the greens but other than that I really enjoyed playing on this course. |

Nobody should go out of their way to play this course. The condition of it is at best mediocre. However, the price is right. |

The management company has not made great improvements on this track. Some ignorant fool bleached the greens and play was awfully slow. Spend the money and play elsewhere. |

This course is better maintained, longer and has more varied terrain than other city courses. Wide fairways, greens and tee boxes are in reasonable shape. Most holes are buffered from outside noise by the many old trees and additional park sourrounding the course. Definately my favorite city course and it only $12! |

A good nice hole course for a quick golf if you don't have to wait for all the people in front. Generous fairway!! |

What a great 9 hole course in the middle of the city. Extremely well maintained grounds and greens for a city course located at 67th and Kedzie (my hats off to the groundskeeper). Interesting layout winds around a lagoon with tons of old trees (The weeping willows are spectacular). It sure doesn't feel like your playing in the city. Great course to practice on as the fairways are wide and you won't loose to many balls unless your way out of bounds in the lagoon. For $10.50 you can't beat this one. Play is slow, but worth it if you can't get outside the city to play. |
