Medinah Country Club Addtional Information & History

The Medinah Country Club, located in Medinah, Illinois, opened in 1926 and was planned and built by a group of Shriners from Chicago’s Medinah Temple. Medinah Country Club grew to include three 18-hole golf courses, including one designed for ladies, which was completed in 1928. Course designer Tom Bendelow designed courses #1 and #3. Golf Course #3 was updated in 2003 by Rees Jones. The clubhouse, designed by Richard G. Schmid, was built to resemble a grand Masonic structure. The Medina Country Club has hosted many prestigious golf events, including the PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and U.S. Senior Open.
