Excellent layout, with good conditioning. Staff was very responsive to concerns raised. Pace of play was good. Very good money value. |

Fast Firm Greens. Nice layout. Improved course each of the last 3 years. Challenging new sod bunkers installed 2008. |

Probably the best course in the area. It will take several times out before knowing how to play it. My advice would be to not feel like you need to hit driver on every hole and don_t give in to the urge to tear your face off after a few 3 putts(it will happen out there). You_ll probably also want to try the pulled pork sandwich at the turn and if you_re ignorant and orange...stay home. |

We love this course, but it has gotten slower as word gets out. More of a thinking mans course. |

Tough course with a very pretty back nine weaving around the lake. I agree with others that the rangers need to be more attentive. Keep your driver in the bag for this course, or you'll lose plenty of balls. Great deals on their website makes the cost fair. |

A very different style of golf course for these corn fields (I mean Illinios). If they could add a few palm tree's I could swear that I was in Florida, it plays much easier the third time around, If you can't "play smart" then don't "play stupid". |

only thing I would say, if you're an average golfer with a 15 - 25 hcp. is to not plan on golfing with less than 10 balls. Extremely unforgiving for an average golfer who has the bravado of using a driver - get your 3-W, and 3-5 irons out for the tee boxes and keep it straight. I golfed with a hot-shot who used Pro V1's - he lost eight of them, or around $50 in balls. |

Just played the course for the first time. What a gem!!! Nice layout and some great holes on the back nine. Too bad they are building ugly holes next to the course. |

course is still a little rough, but is to be expected on a new course. lots of bumps and hills on the course. watch out for the wind on 14, a bruising par 3 from the tips. better than cinder ridge and i would rate it even with heritage bluffs. |

Nice layout - some very memorable holes. You want to keep the ball in play. The length won't kill you but the high prarie grass will. |

Course is nice but the rangers need to talk to each other. They let a 5-some tee off, split them to 2 3-somes at the 3rd hole when one of their players showed up late, and then blamed my foursome and the one behind us for holding up the course. I'll never golf there again for that reason only. I can not stand poor course management by the rangers. |

Course is great, but I have to mention about a foursome I observed. One of the players that was wearing white on white was showing no course etiquette. He swore and tossed several clubs. Hopefully he will be more professional this year. This occured on a Sunday morning. |
