| The Old Elm Club is a private country club located in far northern Highland Park. One friendly caddy said that this club seemed to cater to an older, more established set. Being very private, security is serious here, and the staff doesn_t respond well to non-members on the grounds without being escorted by a member. |

The 18-hole Old Elm golf course at the Old Elm Country Club in Highland Park, Illinois is a very exclusive, private club for gentlemen only. Old Elm offers 6,465 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 73. The course features water hazards, sand bunkers, and Bent grass greens and fairways. The course rating is 70.7 and it has a slope rating of 123 on Bent grass. Originally designed by Donald J. Ross, ASGCA, the Old Elm golf course opened in 1913. It has since been redesigned by Ray Didier.
