Old Oak Country Club Addtional Information & History

Old Oak Country Club: Located just 20 minutes from Chicago, the 18-hole public golf course at the Old Oak Country Club and Golf Course in Homer Glen, Illinois, features 6,535 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The Old Oak Golf Course was one of the first Chicago Golf Courses to open back in 1926, and one of the first Illinois Golf courses, as well. This area of Lockport has been recently incorporated into the new town of Homer Glen, Illinois. The golf course has also changed in recent years. Skillfully carved out of the natural environment, the Old Oak Country Club was built on a tract of land in Lockport that is dominated by large oak and hickory trees and Long Run Creek. The course is set on rolling hills. There are numerous sand bunkers throughout its design, and the water hazards that come into play on several holes also make for a very scenic and challenging game of golf. The course rating is 69.8 and it has a slope rating of 122 on Blue grass.  The Old Oak Golf Course opened in 1926.
