Otter Creek North/West Course Addtional Information & History

The Hole #1 of West Course is a looking down the fairway, The hole is a par five. 200 yards from the tee, the fairway narrows, slopes downward and is bracketed with fairway bunkers. The green is wide but short with a front to back break. The 2nd West Course hole is the sportiest hole on the course. The shortest par four but one that offers the least margin for error. The Hole #3 is one of the few holes that is reasonably straight away and open enough to expose a view of the green from the tee. A comfortable par four in which the score hinges greatly on the putting good fortunes. The hole #4 is one of the few holes that is reasonable straight away and open enough to expose a view of the green from the tee. Hole #5 is the shortest of the par fives and a great opportunity for birdies. This hole contains more bunkers than any other hole on the course. The hole #6, club selection is very important on this uphill par three. A prevailing wind usually blows from the southwest shortening tee shots. Many tee shots will end up short in one of the two bunkers guarding the green. The 7th hole is the second shortest par four on the west course but the #2 handicap hole. The hole #8 is one which will allow you to better your score. One of the holes offering routes other than straight down the middle. The Hole #9 is a finishing hole that features many of the Otter Creek's classic challenges. From the tee, the dogleg is guarded with great bunker placement.
