| The course is in good shape, holes that require placement of the ball, holes are fair, but isn_t terribly long. They only allow 18 hole play on weekends and they do have leagues. So you take your chances if you are a single or drop in. |
Phillips Park Addtional Information & History
The 18-hole Phillips Park Golf Course in Aurora, Illinois is located on a 300-acre park. The layout consists of two distinct 9-hole courses, featuring large, USGA greens, multiple tee boxes, water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. The front nine is a links style course with wide fairways; the back nine is hilly and more challenging, with tree-lined fairways. Lights were added in 2005 for evening games. Phillips Park Golf Course offers 6,186 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 69.1 and it has a slope rating of 116 on Blue grass. Designed by (R) Gregory E. Martin, the Phillips Park Golf Course opened in 2001. The City of Aurora Parks & Recreation manages this facility.
