Great weekday value. Course was wide open. Fairways were good and greens were pretty fast. Seemed like every par 5 was into the wind. Some nice holes. Recommended.

I have played this course a few times and it is always a challenge, especially when it is windy. The greens keeper does a great job. I like how they take the time to rake the sand traps daily as I seam to spend alot of time in them on this course. If you have never played here it is a very good course especially for the greens fee charged.

Having worked at what was called Lakewood Country Club, this course is a fun one. Bent grass with rolling heather filled hills make the course a challenging yet masterable course. I like the variety of holes with bunker placements hidden in unpredictable areas.

The 18-hole RedTail course at the RedTail Golf Club in the Village of Lakewood, Illinois opened in 1991. The front 9 of RedTail Golf Club meanders through rolling elevation changes. The back 9 is a more traditional layout featuring an island that is home to the par 4 #10 and par 4 #16 greens. RedTail features well maintained bent grass greens, fairways, and four sets of tees, so it provides a challenging and exciting game of golf for players of all skill levels. The RedTail course offers 6,820 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.8 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Bent grass. Designed by Roger B. Packard, Crain’s Chicago Business refers to the RedTail Golf Course as “a hidden gem” (April 10, 2006).
