The private 18-hole Royal Melbourne golf course at the Royal Melbourne facility in Long Grove, Illinois features diverse terrain, including woods, wetlands and prairie. The undulating Bent grass greens are very fast and some of the tight Bent grass fairways are tree-lined. Available amenities at the Royal Melbourne Country Club include a putting green, chipping area and on-site pro. The golf course offers 6,731 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.5 and it has a slope rating of 138 on Bent grass.  Designed by Ed Robinson/Greg Norman, the Royal Melbourne golf course opened in 1992.
