Sanctuary Golf Course Addtional Information & History

The 18-hole Sanctuary Golf Course in New Lenox, Illinois opened in 1996 and was designed by Steven Halberg. Golf Digest rates the Sanctuary Golf Course at 4 ½ stars. The "links style" feel of the course features Bent grass greens, tees and fairways with fescue roughs. The course is dotted by 75 bunkers, and water hazards come into play on 14 of the holes. With 4 sets of tees, the Sanctuary course provides a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The course offers 6,701 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.6 and it has a slope rating of 118 on Bent grass.  The Sanctuary also has an excellent grass practice range, short game area, putting green, pro shop and great food and beverage offerings.
