The semi-private 18-hole Shady Oaks golf course at the Shady Oaks Country Club in Amboy, Illinois features a newly developed back nine designed by David Esler. Built on hilly terrain, Shady Oaks Golf Course also features tree-lined fairways; numerous sand bunkers and water hazards come into play throughout the course. The Shady Oaks course offers 5,898 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 67.2 and it has a slope rating of 116. Designed by Jim Larkin, the Shady Oaks Country Club opened in 1962.
