Silver Lake Country Club North Course Addtional Information & History

Silver Lake Country Club, North Course: Located in Orland Park, Illinois, the 18-hole championship North Golf Course at the Silver Lake Country Club began as Euclid Hills—a private club which opened in 1927. The course was renamed in 1940 when it was purchased by the Coghill family. Many improvements have been made over the years, including rebuilding and elevating all of the tees and greens. A state-of-the-art irrigation system was recently installed, and new cart paths make it easier for golfers to play during less than ideal weather conditions. Silver Lake Country Club is also well into a continuous tree-planting program. Over the past 25 years, they have planted thousands of trees, and have contributed to the Silver Lake Country Club being honored by the National Audubon Society by being awarded “Best of Environmental Golf Award. Silver Lake’s North Course offers 6,826 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.1 with a slope rating of 119 on Blue grass.
