This is a fun course to play for middle handicaps. Fairways wide enough but greens tough. Good variety of holes. One negative is the staff, very unfriendly. |

Fun course...pretty wide open fairways, very pretty layout and helpful staff. No driving range was a minus, though they do have cages to stretch out a bit... Greens fee_s were a little high but the course is solid, and a great place to go for the _average shooter_. |

Unless you are very low handicapper, you will love this course. Challenging but fair. Sleepy first hole but gets much better after #2. Good price and lots of fun. |

Not a bad course. The layout is basic. I thought the course was a little short for the driving room alloted. Greens were in good shape. Staff was very freindly and helpful. No driving range and putting green is kind of small. There was actually a wait to putt. It is a good value. |

Very nice course, and a good value. Tough, slopped greens that require being played from below the hole or it's "3-Putt City". Several forced carrys off the back tees. All of the holes are different, you will play every club in the bag. 18th. hole is a great risk / reward par 5, a good tee shot will make you think about challenging the water and going for it. I play there 4-5 times a year, for many years, and always enjoyed the round, course and staff. Remember, even a bad day on the course beats working! |

Course is in good shape, especially for a muni. I agree w/ comments about the pro shop staff. Even though it is a PUBLIC park district course, the staff is not very friendly. Sorry, but Bethpage Black it's not |

outstanding and challenging course. Play the course not your partner and you will fare well |

Great course, but the staff is still asunfriendly as ever. I tried to ask a question regarding the pin placement while the attendant was running my credit card and he got a little snippy. Don't appreciate that. I don't play there as much as I used to because I'm sick of the crusty people in the clubhouse. |

Nice course, but can be a shooting gallery. Watch out coming up 9th fairway you are right in the wheelhouse of the hacks teeing off on the 1st. Got hit last year. |

What a value, a great layout and you don't have to spend $100.00. It is an upscale course without the upscale price tag. I don't know what the others are talking about it was the friendly a joy to play. |

Great Course with beautiful surroundings. Did not enjoy the rangers continously driving up the fairways, while we were trying to take our second shots. |

NOT A VERY FRIENDLY STAFF BUT A NICE COURSE |

Good conditions (greens, fairways, tees) must stay below hole, since greens slope back to front. Agree with the unfriendly staff comment |

I agree the staff in 1999 was horrible, new entire staff this year and alot better. Nothing like they were before, course in great shape and fun to play. |

I enjoyed the whole experence at Steeple Chase, the course was great, the staff was very helpful and nice and I played the best I ever have. The greens were smooth. I'll go back many times. Great for the price! |

I didn't think I would go back after the way I was treated back in 1999 by the pro shop staff, but this a whole new crew( what an improvement) it was enjoyable. It's a great value, and a fun place to play. Keep up the good work. |
