Sugar Creek Golf Course: The 9-hole Sugar Creek Golf Course in Villa Park, Illinois is owned and operated by the Elmhurst Park District and the Village of Villa Park. The course features Penncross Bent grass greens and excellent golf turf, plus a 3-acre pond coming into play on four of the holes. Sugar Creek offers a challenge for seasoned players, but is short enough for beginners. Course amenities include a clubhouse featuring daily lunch specials, plus a banquet room with private bar, an outside deck area and a pro shop. The Sugar Creek Golf Course underwent several improvements in 2003, including additional tees and sand traps and changing hole #8 from a par 3 to par 4. The course offers 2,239 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 32. The course rating is 60.3 and it has a slope rating of 96 on grass.  Designed by Rick Kepshire, the Sugar Creek Golf Course opened in 1976 and averages more than 40,000 rounds of golf per year.
