| Greatest course in all of Illinois!!! And it_s a park distract course!!! Design is brilliant and provides a challenge for most every golfer. Holes were designed perfectly and this course is one of the top ranked courses in the US. Must go!!! |

One of the premier public course in the nation shows its teeth with a ravenous heavy nature wild rough and interesting greens. | great course, good layout, nice staff. challenging from the tips. never seen the course in bad shape, and the greens can be super fast and downright scary. a little pricy, but there are some awesome discounts at certain times. |

| An excellent experience from start to finish. They have currently some great deals and the course is in fantastic shape considering the weather. Not a bad drive from Chicago (1.15 hours)on a friday morning. Take a few extra balls if you don_t hit the fairways..it_s straight forward if you don_t want to hit the 280 yd drives all the time |

| Course and staff are great. Generous fairways are a bit of an ego boost but if you play from the tips bring your A game. Higher handicaps can have fun from forward tees. Classic course design appealing to the eye. |

ThunderHawk is located one hour from Chicago or Milwaukee in northeastern Lake County and opened in 1999. ThunderHawk Golf Club is a Robert Trent Jones, Jr., course nestled on 228 beautiful acres of forest, marsh and prairie. Thunderhawk is the first public course in Illinois to achieve Audubon Signature certification. ThunderHawk Golf Club has the ability to accomodate any size group from a small corporate or private outings to full tournament groups. The Courses are selected by a nationwide team of evaluators surveying nominated courses on standards such as strategic considerations of shot making, interest of greens and contours, best quality of conditioning, landscape and tree management, natural setting and overall land plan.
