Twin Orchard Country Club Addtional Information & History

The 18-hole Red Course at the Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove, Illinois features 6,697 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.4 and it has a slope rating of 128 on Bent grass.  Designed by C.D. Wagstaff, the Red golf course opened in 1933. The course has many sand bunkers, several water hazards, and plenty of trees incorporated into the design. The Red Course, predominantly used by the men, is the longer and more challenging course. The White Course is mainly played by the ladies, but men can play it if they wish. Larry Packard redesigned the White Course in 1966, and Ken Killian and Dick Nugent redesigned the Red Course in the 1970s.
