Winnetka Golf Course Addtional Information & History

The history started in the year of 1914 by architect William H. Langford. A 2,155 yard nine hole layout are designed with the intention for the rewarding player that are both and accurate. During 1922 the park district added a nine more holes to complete the 18 hole layout. Charles D. Wagstaff started the renovation project during 1930. And today, a 6,472 yard par 71 for a 18-hole championship course plays to a back tees and for the front tees it is a 5,740 yard par 72. Winnetka Golf Club hosted the Illinois PGA section events. Since 1999, some of the top rated juniors golfers played in the country during the American Junior Golf Association annual Golfweek Chicagao Junior. Winnetka golf Club is a true destinations for a test skill level because of water coming into play on 16 of the 18 holes.
