Woodbine Golf Course Addtional Information & History

Woodbine Golf Course: The 18-hole Woodbine course at the Woodbine Golf Course facility in Homer Glen, Illinois features 6,020 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. Designed by PGA pro, Gordon Cunningham, the design of the Woodbine Golf Course was completed in 1987. Cunningham designed courses for average golfers—those who wanted great golfing conditions with a reasonable challenge—and that’s how Woodbine was designed. Midwest Irrigation of East Dubuque, Illinois, handled the course construction and irrigation. Woodbine was planted in the fall of 1987 and the course opened in 1988. Woodbine Golf Course has matured into a beautiful, challenging golf venue, and includes hundreds of trees. All of the greens, tees and fairways are fully watered Bent grass. The course rating is 68.3 and it has a slope rating of 115.  Woodbine Golf Course’s unique clubhouse is patterned after 1900s barns, with wooden pegs locking together white oak timbers.
